The Mustangs have not let their postseason ban limit their dominance on the court and now on the recruiting trail.
Larry Brown and his coaching staff received a verbal commitment from one of the top international recruits in 2016, Harry Froling – a 6’10 power forward from Australia. Froling chose SMU over Illinois, Arizona and Colorado.
The incoming class for the Mustangs is a sizable one that now includes Froling, 6’5 point guard DaShawn McDowell and 6’4 shooting guard Tom Wilson. SMU is still in the mix for two of the top Texas prospects in Jarrett Allen and Marques Bolden, and a commitment from either one of the big men will solidify the Mustangs as one of the most dangerous teams to play in 2017.
